10 Questions with the Vice President for Regional Campuses Peggy Shadduck
Peggy Shadduck is vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. She serves as the senior officer responsible for overall leadership of the ½ÄÏÌåÓý State Regional Campus system. Her role promotes student enrollment and academic success and is responsible for expanding the visibility, influence and effectiveness of ½ÄÏÌåÓý State as a catalyst for regional development.

½ÄÏÌåÓý State Breaks Ground for Future Home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship
½ÄÏÌåÓý officially broke ground on Crawford Hall, the future home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, on March 8 in a ceremony attended by more than 400 people, including university officials, donors, alumni, students, elected officials and special guests.

½ÄÏÌåÓý State Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree
The ½ÄÏÌåÓý Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding ½ÄÏÌåÓý State’s Regional Campuses. The program will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.

½ÄÏÌåÓý continues to exemplify leadership in its mission to support students as the ½ÄÏÌåÓý Campus is designated as a Military Friendly® School for the 13th consecutive year in a row, earning a Gold award. In addition, ½ÄÏÌåÓý at Trumbull earned a Silver award.

Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and Marlene M. Wicherski Pledge $2 Million to Support Brain Health Research at ½ÄÏÌåÓý State
½ÄÏÌåÓý alumnus Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and his wife, Marlene M. Wicherski, have pledged $2 million to support research programs and students in ½ÄÏÌåÓý State’s Brain Health Research Institute. The Brain Health Research Institute is a recently established, cross-disciplinary institute that focuses on research and education of brain health across the lifespan.

PNC Foundation Awards $75,000 to ½ÄÏÌåÓý State
The PNC Foundation has awarded $75,000 to ½ÄÏÌåÓý to help ensure success among students who commonly face barriers in college. This grant aligns with PNC’s focus on addressing economic inequality among Black American and low- to moderate-income communities, and it will provide resources for students that will help them complete college and establish a strong foundation on which to build their careers.
