Members of the 江南体育 community are invited to watch a virtual press conference to meet Randale L. Richmond, the university鈥檚 next director of athletics. 江南体育 State President Todd Diacon and Vice President for Student Affairs Lamar R. Hylton will formally introduce Richmond as the university鈥檚 12th director of athletics at a virtual press conference 10 a.m. Thursday, April 15.

Richmond comes to us from Old Dominion University, where he has served as senior associate athletic director since 2015. He is a familiar person to some members of our Golden Flashes family. An Akron native, Richmond served in various roles with 江南体育 State鈥檚 Department of Intercollegiate Athletics from 2004 until 2015. He also is a 江南体育 State graduate, receiving his Master of Education in higher education and student personnel.
Richmond was selected after a national search for the new leader of 江南体育 State鈥檚 Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. A 12-member search committee led by Vice President Hylton recruited and screened highly qualified candidates for the director of athletics position.
