More than 100 attendees participated in ½ÄÏÌåÓý’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering’s (CAE) Girls in Aviation Day Saturday at the ½ÄÏÌåÓý State Airport.

½ÄÏÌåÓý’s nationally ranked Flight Technology program, in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, is one of only three nationwide that Delta Air Lines selected this year to become a Delta Propel Partner, a program that creates career opportunities for students studying to be future commercial pilots.

FedEx Corp. has pledged $5 million, in addition to $1.5 million already given, in support of an aeronautics academic center that will be located at the ½ÄÏÌåÓý Airport. The new 17,800-square-foot building will be named the FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center.
