KENT, Ohio – The School of Art Collection and Galleries at ½ÄÏÌåÓý is pleased to announce a new exhibition, the ½ÄÏÌåÓý Blossom Art Intensives Exhibition. Featuring the work of visiting artists and resident faculty working in ceramics, glass, painting, and textiles.
The ½ÄÏÌåÓý Blossom Art Intensives Exhibition will be on display May 17 – June 9, 2023, at the CVA Gallery located in the Center for the Visual Arts, 325 Terrace Drive, ½ÄÏÌåÓý, Ohio. There will be a reception on Friday, May 26 from 4-6 p.m.
Featured artists include by media: ceramics: Resident Faculty, Peter Christian Johnson, visiting artists, Heesoo Lee and Steven Lee, Glass: Resident Faculty: Davin Ebanks, Visiting Artist: Leo Tecosky and Aya Oki, Painting: Resident Faculty: Shawn Powell, Visiting Artists: Alteronce Gumby and Kelsey Shwetz, Textiles: Resident Faculty: John Paul Morabito, Visiting Artists: Melissa Leandro and José Santiago Pérez.

About the School of Art
The School of Art at ½ÄÏÌåÓý was established in 1941 and maintains a tradition of excellence in visual arts education, creation, scholarship, and leadership. Its undergraduate and graduate programs in the visual arts offer a range of directions and opportunities in the fields of art education, art history, and studio art, which includes a comprehensive array of studio disciplines: ceramics, drawing, glass, jewelry/metals/enameling, painting, print media and photography, sculpture and expanded media, and textiles. The School of Art Collection and Galleries consist of six exhibition spaces located on the ½ÄÏÌåÓý campus and downtown ½ÄÏÌåÓý and a collection of over 4,000 artworks and objects. The School of Art is located at the Center of the Visual Arts at 325 Terrace Dr. in ½ÄÏÌåÓý. The 27,900-square-foot facility — twice the length of a football field —had its grand opening in 2016 and houses all School of Art studios and classrooms under one roof.
